Anduril Industries is seeking a Lead Maintenance Engineer for our Maritime division to build and grow maintenance operations for Dive XL AUVs and related equipment. The role emphasizes reliability, availability, and safety in a fast-paced defense environment.

You will recruit and manage technicians, establish facilities, develop maintenance plans, oversee budgets, and ensure regulatory compliance, while collaborating with Fleet Engineering and product lifecycle teams to optimize lifecycle costs

Qualifications

• 7-10+ years of experience in maintenance management in tech.
• Proven experience in influencing and engaging customers.
• Proven experience in developing and implementing maintenance strategies and facilities.
• Experience with condition-based maintenance and predictive maintenance technologies.
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
• Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.
• Eligible to obtain and maintain an active U.S. security clearance.

Responsabilités

• Recruit and manage a team of skilled technicians and tradespeople to maintain Dive XL autonomous underwater vehicles (AUVs).
• Establish forward operating facilities and infrastructure for test and maintenance activities.
• Develop and implement comprehensive maintenance plans and schedules.
• Guide the development of maintenance documentation, including manuals, standard practices and parts catalogues (in a tech environment).
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations, environmental standards, and quality control procedures.
• Oversee preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance activities.
• Collaborate with the Fleet Engineering team to improve equipment reliability and maintainability.
• Analyze maintenance data and key metrics to identify trends and areas for improvement.
• Develop and manage maintenance budgets, including forecasting and cost control.
• Coordinate with supply chain management to ensure availability of spare parts and materials.
• Liaise with Maritime customers, regulatory bodies, and external stakeholders as required.
• Provide stakeholder input into root cause analysis for equipment failures and implement corrective actions.
• Work closely with the Product Lifecycle Maintenance function to optimize the total lifecycle cost.
