Job summary

Saronic Technologies seeks a Mechanical Design Build Engineer to lead build and integration for autonomous surface vessels. The role bridges design engineering and production, focusing on scalable fabrication, automation integration, and seamless assembly of structures, electronics, and vessel systems.

You'll collaborate across engineering, drafting, and production, drive ECOs, support sea trials, and contribute to design reviews while documenting changes and supporting reports for regulatory

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Familiarity with ABS and coast guard regulations.
• Experience in shipyards or onboard ships is preferred.
• Strong CAD skills and ability to interpret drawings and tolerances.

Responsibilities

• Lead build and integration for autonomous surface vessels, bridging design and production.
• Conduct CAD modeling, structural/mechanical/electrical design, and weight management.
• Coordinate ECOs, ensure traceability, communication, and verification.
• Support sea-trials and in‑sea testing of ASVs as needed.
• Document changes in CAD models during ship construction.
• Assist in design reviews and support technical documentation.
