Vigor Marine Group seeks a skilled welder for our Portland shipyard. You will perform welding from blueprints, follow CFR guidelines, and execute burning and scarfing preparations. Expect daily use of SMAW, FCAW, and GMAW processes with strict adherence to safety.

Proven welding experience (2–6 years) and a High School diploma or GED are preferred. The role is environment with physical demands and requires teamwork across shifts in a busy yard setting.

Qualificações

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• 2–6 years of relevant welding experience.
• Proven work history or applicable education may substitute for experience.

Responsabilidades

• Follow shipyard safety and environmental measures.
• Read drawings and blueprints to weld per specifications.
• Research solutions to CFR findings.
• Perform burning and scarfing prep, bevel parts.
• Weld using SMAW, FCAW, GMAW processes.
• Gouge carbon arc for prep and cleanup.
• Care for hand and power tools safely.
• Coordinate job specifications and completion.
• Assist across yard areas as needed.
