Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required or preferred.
• 5 years relevant work experience in welding/pipe fabrication.
• Proven skills and/or applicable education may be considered in lieu of experience.

Responsibilities

• Performs welding and fabrication work with minimal supervision.
• Exceeds Journeyman standards in welding tasks.
• Reads blueprints to locate pipe systems aboard vessels.
• Performs GTAW 6G, SMAW, FCAW welding on CuNi and Stainless 316.
• Prepares surfaces by grinding and chipping.
• Identifies and traces shipboard pipe systems (steam, lube oil, water, hydraulics, etc.).
• Operates pipe threading machines, benders, and bevelers safely.
