Qualifications

• Welder certifications (SMAW, FCAW, GMAW) or equivalent experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Complies with safety and environmental standards in the shop.
• Reads ship specifications, work orders, and drawings for fabrication.
• Welds and fabricates components to form, shape, and fit per blueprints.
• Prepares surfaces, grinds, and cleans weld areas.
• Tack welds and aligns structures per drawings and specifications.
• Maintains and safely uses shop tools and equipment.
• Keeps workspace clean and orderly.
