Hanover Insurance Group, Inc. is seeking a Director of Marine Underwriting Performance to lead underwriting and sales initiatives within the Marine specialty area. This full-time, exempt role supports a hybrid work arrangement open to East Coast Hanover locations.

You will mentor underwriters, optimize use of tools, collaborate with Operations, and drive profitable growth through strategic planning, client relationships, and effective risk assessment across assigned territories.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• 10+ years of experience in Specialty/Marine accounts and driving agency relationships resulting in profitable new and renewal business.

Responsabilidades

• Develop and implement strategies based on near- and long-term priorities, current trends and underwriting results.
• Identify enhanced sell and cross-sell opportunities to create growth within other lines of business and customer segments.
• Collaborate with Specialty distribution and local branch partners.
• Partner with leadership to help develop and drive the regional business strategy.
• Decipher complex accounts and apply sound underwriting principles to translate business rationale to team and colleagues.
• Evaluate and identify training needs to enhance capabilities of team.
