Position Summary

The Marine Technician delivers an exceptional service experience for all customers by performing high‑quality maintenance and repair work at a fair price, while adhering to customer time frames. This position plays a key role in ensuring that every boat leaving our shop is lake‑ready and performing at its best.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Diagnose, service, and repair inboards, I/O’s, and outboards both in the shop and on the water
• Perform scheduled maintenance, pre‑delivery inspections, winterizations, and summerizations
• Complete repairs and installations such as:
  • Fuel system cleaning
  • Engine and outdrive R&R
  • Custom stereo, jack plates, and tower installations
• Lake test boats to verify functionality, diagnose issues, and confirm successful repairs
• Communicate effectively with the Service Coordinator regarding diagnostics, parts needs, and repair progress
• Maintain accurate time and service records
• Keep work area and tools clean, organized, and in proper working condition
• Assist with boat show preparation and move‑in as needed
• Attend manufacturer and service training annually to maintain certifications

Experience and Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Valid driver’s license with a clean motor vehicle record (MVR)
• Boating experience and a valid boater’s license are preferred
• 2+ years of experience in marine or automotive service preferred
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods
• Strong attention to detail, problem‑solving skills, and a customer‑first attitude.
