Job summary

SA-TECH, a DoD contractor, seeks a Small Boat Mechanic at Naval Station Norfolk to troubleshoot, service, and test marine engines aboard naval craft. Five years of maritime engine experience and the ability to read technical directives are required; U.S.

citizenship and ability to obtain a DoD Secret clearance are mandatory. The role offers stable full-time hours, safety-focused work, and a benefits package including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, 401(k), and PTO.

Qualifications

• Minimum of five (5) years of maritime engine repair experience.
• Ability to read, write and follow technical directives correctly.
• U.S. Citizenship and you must be able to obtain a U.S. DoD Security Secret Clearance prior to start date.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot equipment onboard naval small boats and test craft, check functionality of newly installed equipment, and evaluate system performance while underway during actual operating conditions.
• Install, service, repair and test marine inboard and outboard engines.
• Perform all work safely in accordance with industry standards and best practices.
