Job summary

QED Systems Inc is seeking a Senior Engineering Marine Mechanical Specialist to support the U.S. Navy Small Boat Waterfront Operations facility at Naval Base Norfolk.

You will lead mechanical teams, oversee maintenance, repair, and testing of diverse marine systems, including engines and pumps, ensuring readiness for inspections and deployments. Required is an Associate degree or trade cert, plus a Marine Diesel/OEM cert or equivalent, and at least seven years in small watercraft mechanical

Qualifications

• Must have a minimum of seven (7) years of small watercraft mechanical systems experience.
• Experience leading a mechanical support team and working with technical drawings for repairs and parts identification.
• Proven certifications in marine diesel/mechanical domains or OEM equivalents are required.

Responsibilities

• Lead mechanical teams in boat checks and inspections.
• Maintain, repair, and prototype mechanical and piping systems on boats and craft.
• Install, test, and troubleshoot engines, pumps, manifolds, and control systems.
