Job summary

SA-TECH is hiring a Maintenance Trades Helper to support small engine repair dockside at NBVC Port Hueneme, CA. The role requires working with Mercury Marine engines, using hand and power tools, and performing maintenance tasks under a qualified technician.

Candidates should be comfortable at sea for extended periods, hold a High School Diploma or equivalent, and have a U.S. citizenship with the ability to obtain a DoD Secret clearance before starting. Travel and shift work are possible.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Knowledge of Mercury Marine gasoline inboard/outboard engines.
• Familiarity with hand and power tools.
• Comfortable at sea for extended time.
• U.S. Citizenship and ability to obtain DoD Secret clearance prior to start.

Responsibilities

• Support small engine repair dockside at NBVC Port Hueneme, CA.
• Use power and hand tools to diagnose and repair engines.
• Diagnose and repair marine gasoline inboard/outboard engines.
• Assist in diagnosing engine malfunctions and help restore equipment to operation.
• Follow maintenance programs using manuals and schematics.
