Job summary

Canal Barge Company is seeking an experienced Marine Shipyard Project Manager to plan, coordinate, and execute multiple vessel maintenance projects across the Gulf Inland fleet from New Orleans and surrounding shipyards.

You will oversee scopes, budgets, schedules, and safety compliance, working with Port Engineers, shipyards, vendors, and shoreside leadership to keep projects moving with minimal on-site supervision.

Qualifications

• Experience managing multiple concurrent marine/shipyard/industrial capital projects with budgets, schedules, contractors, and closeout.
• Marine maintenance, vessel repair, marine engineering, shipyard ops, or related technical environment.
• Knowledge of diesel propulsion, auxiliary machinery, piping, and vessel systems.

Responsibilities

• Manage multiple major vessel maintenance, overhaul, and capital projects across shipyards and locations.
• Write detailed scopes, obtain estimates, and coordinate dry docking and vendor activities.
• Oversee vendor performance, installations, testing, and handover with daily on-site leadership with crews.
