Job summary

Irwin Marine in Alton Bay, NH seeks a full-time Service & Parts Advisor to support both service and parts operations and act as the primary contact for customers, technicians, vendors, and the service team.

The role coordinates service activities, handles parts ordering, inventory, and sales, and requires strong organization, communication, and problem-solving skills; marine experience is a plus. Opportunities for growth available in a collaborative marina environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; customer service experience preferred.
• Customer service experience in marine, automotive, powersports, or related environments is advantageous.
• Experience with service-writing, parts, inventory, purchasing, or scheduling is a plus.
• Familiarity with dealership management systems and inventory processes is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and act as professional contact for service and parts needs.
• Document customer concerns, repairs, and service requirements on work orders.
• Coordinate with the Service Manager to schedule technicians and related staff.
• Maintain records of service transactions and communicate status to customers.
• Identify correct parts, verify availability, and place orders with approved suppliers.
• Sell parts over the counter and stage parts for upcoming service jobs.
• Assist with maintaining organized, accurate, and efficient parts department.
• Communicate with suppliers and service team to resolve delays and issues.
• Follow safety procedures and marina policies in all duties.
