As we continue our global expansion, we are looking for talented individuals to join our team.The Marine Sales Director - EMEA is primarily responsible for managing a sales team of 3 to 5 salespeople as well as identifying & generating sales opportunities for Twin Disc marine and propulsion products in Europe, the Middle East, and Africa (EMEA). The position will develop and implement action plans to expand our customer base and volume of business within the EMEA. With the assistance of Applications, Engineering or other Twin Disc resources, the Marine Sales Director - EMEA will prepare competitive sales quotations, in order to generate sales with maximum profit margins. The Marine Sales Director - EMEA will report regularly to Twin Disc leadership, Product Management, and Engineering about new market developments, including customer activity and new product ideas.Education and/or Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, sales, or equivalent experience.
- 10+ years experience in technical sales, preferably in the marine field
- 5+ years experience in managing a sales team
Computer Skills:
- Competent in Microsoft Office Suite of products, including Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint
- Experience in Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems, preferably Salesforce
- Knowledge of ERP systems, such as JD Edwards
Communication Skills:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Fluency in English is required.
- Ability to prepare and give presentations to customers and internal stakeholders.
- Highly skilled in negotiation with the ability to close a sale.
- Diplomacy to communicate effectively and appropriately with customers and internal stakeholders.
Technical Requirements:
- Engineering knowledge to understand the various applications of Twin Disc products
- Knowledge of EMEA marine markets and key customers.
- Knowledge of Twin Disc manufacturing locations and the manufacturing process.
Work Environment:
- Average travel out of the office is approximately 50% or more, of which 35% is overnight travel.
- Role will be based on Europe, flexible to the country!
Specialized Knowledge:
- Broad knowledge of Twin Disc products and their applications
- Knowledge of Twin Disc markets and competition
- Prior experience with budgeting, pricing, margin analysis and performance results.

- Self-motivated, with excellent time management skills
- Proven ability to mentor, guide and coach subordinates
- Good judgment and operates with the highest integrity
- Excellent follow-through and customer service skills
