Job summary

Nichols Brothers Boat Builders is seeking a Marine Piping Engineer responsible for design and support in ship construction and overhaul projects. You will work closely with the Engineering Department to ensure accurate documentation for production trades.

The ideal candidate holds a bachelor’s degree in marine engineering and has at least 3 years of industry experience. Benefits include health insurance, 401(k) matching, and paid time off.

Qualifications

• A minimum of 3 years’ experience in marine industry, specifically in the design and detail production design of ship and/or boat systems.
• Proficient knowledge of marine piping systems and ability to operate within a budget.
• Capability to read and understand technical documentation and vessel specifications.

Responsibilities

• Perform basic design, production design, and field engineering activities as required.
• Interface with Planning, Procurement, Engineering, and Production personnel.
• Develop production design work packages and validate system designs.
