Job summary

100Hires, Inc. is seeking skilled pipe welders to fabricate and assemble piping systems for marine applications.

You will read blueprints and welding symbols to plan work and perform welding in multiple positions, including overhead, with GMAW, SMAW, GTAW and FCAW processes. Candidates must have shipyard experience, be comfortable in confined spaces and on vessels, and demonstrate the ability to pass hands-on qualification tests such as the 6G pipe test.

Qualifications

• Shipyard/welding experience preferred.
• Able to pass hands-on qualification tests (including 6G pipe test).
• Comfortable working in confined spaces, at heights, aboard ships.

Responsibilities

• Assemble, fit, and join metal pipes (carbon steel, stainless steel, copper-nickel) carrying water, fuel and gases.
• Interpret blueprints, schematics and welding symbols to plan work sequence.
• Weld using GMAW, SMAW, GTAW, FCAW in all positions, including overhead and mirror welding.
• Perform quality checks on welds to ensure compliance with marine codes and safety standards.
