Job summary

Eastern Shipbuilding Group, Inc. is seeking skilled pipe welders in Florida to plan, lay out, weld, install, test and repair pipe systems. You will work with other crafts, read blueprints, and ensure watertight welds across steel, stainless, and aluminum components.

Candidates should have a high school diploma or GED plus 3–5 years welding experience, with SMAW 6G qualification and ABS/OSHA knowledge. The role requires safety-minded, detail-oriented teamwork in a heavy industrial shipyard

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED and 3–5 years pipe welding experience.
• Experience with welded pipe, fittings, and related components.
• Ability to read welding symbols, ship terminology, OSHA and ABS standards.
• Must pass SMAW 6G Pipe Test to become ABS certified.

Responsibilities

• Read layouts/diagrams and prepare for welding or cutting metal components.
• Complete welds to specified standards using SMAW and related equipment.
• Install and verify operation of high‑pressure steel pipes and fittings.
• Test installed piping systems and perform related duties per plans.
