Job summary

The Port of Seattle is seeking a Piledriver to support Marine Maintenance across maritime facilities. You will build, repair, and maintain docks, piers, and pilings, with welding and fabrication as needed.

The role requires welding certification, apprenticeship or 5 years experience, and a valid Boater’s Education Card. Expect a Monday–Friday schedule with overtime and field work in outdoor, noisy environments.

Qualifications

• Approved piledriver apprenticeship or 5 years of experience in the trade.
• Certified welder by WABO SMAW on all positions E7018.
• Boater’s Education Card.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance, repairs, and construction on marine structures.
• Repair and maintain pilings in wood, concrete, or steel.
• Perform basic welding and metal fabrication.
• Review work orders and plans to gather materials.
• Fabricate, install, and repair fixtures and tenant improvements.
• Construct platforms, decking, walkways, and related structures.
• Assist with inspections and preventative maintenance.
• Operate forklifts and watercraft; track time and communicate with team.
