Job summary

The Port of Seattle is seeking a skilled Piledriver to support Marine Maintenance, performing construction, repair, and welding on docks, piers, and pilings.

Applicants must have an approved apprenticeship or 5 years in the trade, WABO SMAW certification, a Boater’s Education Card, and a High School Diploma or GED; residency in Washington is required, with overtime and safety as priorities.

Qualifications

• Approved piledriver apprenticeship or 5 years of experience in the trade.
• WABO certification in SMAW on all positions E7018 (1''), Boater’s Education Card.
• Boater’s Education Card is required.
• High School Diploma or GED required.

Responsibilities

• Review work orders, plans, and requests to understand project requirements and material needs.
• Fabricate, install, and repair fixtures and tenant improvements.
• Construct platforms, decking, walkways, and other supporting structures.
• Repair and maintain piles made of wood, concrete, or steel.
• Operate forklifts and watercraft, track time, and coordinate with the team.
• Follow safety rules and PPE requirements.
