Job summary

Sea Ray Boats is seeking skilled fiberglass technicians to construct and repair boat hulls, decks, and small parts. You will use hand tools and specialty equipment to ensure high-quality finishes and structural integrity, while following safety guidelines.

The role requires reading prints, attention to detail, and ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Prior boat-building experience is preferred, with emphasis on quality control and teamwork within a manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED.
• 2-3 years of boat building experience preferred.
• Ability to read and understand prints and production schedules.
• Ability to work with suspended loads and heavy lifting, up to 50lbs.
• Effective interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to adapt to changing requirements in a positive and proactive way.
• Excellent attention to detail for identifying defects and inconsistencies in parts and components.

Responsibilities

• Build and repair fiberglass boat hulls, decks, and small parts using hand tools and specialty tools.
• Inspect parts and understand fiberglass finishes or basic use of abrasives.
• Handle and apply solvents, paints, pastes, putty, and wax, with proper disposal.
• Follow specific job instructions and provide status of part completion.
• Protect boat components while performing finishing duties.
