Job summary

PacMar Technologies is seeking a Marine Operations Manager for our Hawaii Shipyard in Honolulu. The role leads all marine operations for boats, amphibious vehicles, and unmanned systems, coordinating with engineers, technicians, and researchers to deploy vehicles in diverse environments.

The ideal candidate has a US Coast Guard Captain’s license, extensive marine operations experience, and proven leadership. This full-time position offers a competitive salary and benefits in a shipyard setting.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• At least seven years of related experience; a related Bachelor's degree may substitute for four years.
• U.S. Coast Guard Captain’s License is required.
• Strong knowledge of marine equipment, systems, and safety protocols.
• Demonstrated leadership and ability to manage a team.

Responsibilities

• Plan and lead field operations, including demonstrations, deployments and field tests.
• Coordinate external contractors and vendors for marine operations.
• Manage movement of equipment and organize remote storage locations.
• Lead training on operations and maintenance of marine platforms.
• Oversee technicians and operators in vehicle maintenance and deployment.
• Develop safety programs and perform risk assessments for operations.
• Ensure vessel readiness, testing, and compliance with safety regulations.
