Qualifications

• 6+ years of experience in marine, heavy diesel or related mechanical field.
• Must pass a security background check and DOT drug test.
• Ability to travel periodically to other ports for repair projects.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain and troubleshoot diesel, gas and propane engines, generators, jets.
• Lead, coach and assist junior mechanics with job duties.
• Maintain accurate work-log according to company procedure.

Skills

Advanced journey-level knowledge of diesel/marine mechanic practices

Strong problem-solving skills

Ability to safely operate machinery

Experience with analog and electronic systems

Proficiency in reading technical manuals

Education

High School degree or equivalent

Associate’s degree in Heavy Diesel, Marine Mechanics or related/equivalent
