Job summary

Eastern Shipbuilding Group, Inc. seeks a skilled maintenance technician to service shipyard equipment, vehicles, marine engines, and related machinery.

You will perform inspections, preventative maintenance, diagnose malfunctions, and carry out major repairs with minimal supervision. This role requires a high school diploma or GED and at least three years of heavy equipment repair experience; OSHA knowledge preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 3 years of heavy equipment repair experience.
• Knowledge of OSHA standards preferred.
• Ability to read blueprints and schematics.

Responsibilities

• Perform major and specialized mechanical overhaul and repair on gasoline, diesel, and marine engines.
• Inspect and perform preventative maintenance on machinery; diagnose malfunctions.
• Repair hydraulic equipment and valves; maintain records on inspections and repairs/maintenance.
• Work with minimal supervision; perform additional duties as assigned.
