Responsibilities:

1. Travel extensively along the Gulf Coast to perform maintenance and repairs on various vessel engines.
2. Troubleshoot and replace pumps, compressors, and other mechanical systems.
3. Assist the Port Engineer with repairs to vessels in dry dock.
4. Visit vessels in operation for repair and preventive maintenance planning.
5. Participate in on-call rotation, providing coverage after hours, on weekends, and holidays.
6. Perform other duties as directed by the VP of Engineering and Port Engineers.

Qualifications:

• Experience with John Deere, Detroit, Caterpillar, and/or Cummins engines preferred.
• Experience with Twin Disc and Reintjes gears.
• Knowledge of HVAC and Electrical systems.
• Knowledge of ZF Marine Z drive units is a plus.
• TWIC certification required.
• Valid driver’s license with an excellent driving record required.
• Ability to travel; company vehicle provided.
