Job summary

Orion Group Holdings seeks a Safety Intern to join the HS&E team on onsite Houston projects. The role provides hands-on exposure to construction safety practices, field operations, training, regulatory compliance, reporting, and risk management within a large construction organization.

You will work with experienced safety and operations professionals on marine and heavy civil projects, gaining insight into safety plans, inspections, and incident investigations while exploring potential for

Qualifications

Currently pursuing or recently completed an Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety, Industrial Safety, Environmental Health & Safety, Construction Management, Engineering, or a related discipline.
Interest in pursuing a career in construction safety, occupational safety, or environmental health and safety.
Previous construction or safety experience is helpful but not required.

Responsibilities

Assist with field safety inspections, observations, and audits on active construction projects.
Support the preparation and maintenance of weekly, monthly, and quarterly safety reports.
Assist with collecting, organizing, and analyzing safety data to identify trends and opportunities for continuous improvement.
