Job summary

Blue & Gold Fleet is seeking an Engineering Manager to lead the North Bay Engineering Team and support vessel operations. This role ensures the fleet is maintained to high safety and reliability standards and reports to the Director of Engineering.

Responsibilities include overseeing maintenance on vessels, facilities, and terminals; coordinating with NB Engineers; scheduling work; and driving cost control while upholding regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• Marine engineering experience, preferably in passenger vessel industry.
• Minimum of 10 years of marine engineering experience, with at least 4 years in a supervisory role.
• Valid Driver License and good driving record.
• Computer literacy and strong oral/written communication.

Responsibilities

• Oversee engineering work on the vessels, facilities, and terminals.
• Perform quality control inspections of maintenance work and subcontractors.
• Manage communications with NB Engineers and report to the Director of Engineering.
• Prioritize tasks and maintenance work orders.
• Ensure maintenance follows safe practices and uses PPE.
• Collaborate with North Bay Operations to diagnose issues and allocate resources.
• Inspect WETA assets and improve maintenance plans.
