Job summary

Kirby is seeking a Marine Sales Logistics Coordinator to support office and warehouse operations, manage engine inventory, coordinate staging, and prepare shipments for the Service Department's upfit work.

The role requires technical engine knowledge, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work in both administrative and hands-on environments with responsibilities spanning freight contracting, routing, and customer communication.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of 3 years in industry related assignments.
  • Knowledge of transportation policies and regulations for LTL and truckload shipments.
  • Fulfill all US and international customs requirements for shipment paperwork.

Responsibilities

  • Oversight and management of freight expenses through bidding and negotiating freight contracts.
  • Directing logistics across the supply chain for cost-efficient operations.
  • Coordinate all aspects of shipping and order routing to customers.
  • Prepare documentation for domestic and international orders.
  • Communicate shipping requirements and instructions to customers and teams.
  • Monitor freight invoices and coordinate with accounting for invoicing and payments.
  • Resolve freight damage issues promptly and implement damage prevention strategies.
  • Collaborate with suppliers and supply chain team for timely inbound freight.
  • Ensure safety culture and perform other duties as assigned.
