Join to apply for the Marine Engine Assembler role at Ilmor Engineering, Inc.

Position Overview

Ilmor Marine is seeking Marine Engine Assemblers to join our state-of-the-art Marine Engine Technical Center in New Hudson, MI. This role involves assembling recreational marine boat engines with a focus on quality, safety, and efficiency. It is a fast-paced, hands-on position suitable for mechanically inclined and quality-focused candidates.

Training and Travel

This position requires approximately 4 weeks of off-site training in North Carolina, with travel costs covered by Ilmor Marine. Weekend stays at home are allowed.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Follow instructions carefully, including quality procedures, diagrams, and pictures.
  2. Operate machines, air tools, hoists, and utilize special processes.
  3. Perform repetitive assembly tasks.
  4. Assemble engine and electrical parts using various fasteners by hand or with power tools.
  5. Handle, install, position, and move materials and components.
  6. Conduct assembly in different sections of the production line, including pre-paint and post-paint areas, as well as staging for various processes.
  7. Inspect engines and materials to identify errors, problems, or defects.
  8. Install engines onto test stands and monitor their functions.
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
  • Mechanical and fabrication skills for builds, repairs, and maintenance.
  • Strong computer skills in MS Office.
  • Team-oriented with organizational and planning skills.
  • Ability to travel up to 5%.

  • Work involves sitting, standing, handling objects, and using tools.
  • Exposure to mechanical parts, fumes, chemicals, and noise, with safety precautions.
