Job summary

Mission Technologies, a division of HII, seeks a Marine Electrician to join the SEMAT Hawaii team at Pearl Harbor, HI. You will perform electrical maintenance and training to help shipboard personnel operate, maintain, and repair engineering systems on USN surface ships.

The role requires high school or trade school, 6 years of related experience, shipboard electrical experience, and the ability to read ship drawings.

Qualifications

High School or Trade School education as a minimum.
Must have shipboard electrical maintenance and repair experience.
Ability to read and interpret equipment and system ship drawings and manuals.
Competent in using electrical equipment and tools for ship repairs.
Must provide own hand tools as designated per trades specialty.
Must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD Confidential security clearance.

Responsibilities

Perform electrical maintenance and training to assist shipboard personnel in operation, maintenance, and repair of engineering systems onboard USN Surface Ships.
Master understanding of production and processes.
Interface with customers, manage subcontractors and provide work directions to others.
May provide direction and lead others.
May manage one or more jobs.
Complete comprehension of specialty trades functions and tools; perform complex tasks.
Develop and use technical documents including work packages, procedures, test documents, and reports.
Schedule, brief customers and senior management; may perform quality inspections.
