Job summary

Hinckley Yachts is seeking a Marine Diesel Mechanic to join our skilled team maintaining high-performance vessels. You will diagnose, repair, and service marine mechanical systems using OEM software while following safety standards.

The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with marine engines, hydraulic systems, and diagnostics, and is capable of writing condition reports and estimates. ABYC certification is preferred; equal opportunity employer; waterfront location.

Qualifications

• Experience installing marine mechanical systems.
• Knowledge of onboard plumbing and hydraulic systems.
• Ability to write condition reports, prepare estimates, and plan projects.
• Pass background check as required.

Responsibilities

• Diagnostics: Use OEM software, tools, and technologies to diagnose and repair marine diesel systems.
• Repairs: Perform repairs, preventative maintenance, adjustments, and overhauls on marine equipment.
• Product Lines: Work on boat systems including engines from Hamilton water jets, Yanmar, Volvo Penta, Cummins, Caterpillar, or FPT.
• Safety Compliance: Operate in compliance with safety standards and guidelines.
• Other: All duties as assigned.
