Job summary

W.W. Williams Company is hiring a Marine Diesel Technician to troubleshoot, repair, and diagnose diesel engines on yachts, personal and commercial vessels. You will follow manufacturer procedures for repairs and complete required paperwork while ensuring safety standards are met.

The role requires 2+ years of diesel repair experience in a marine setting, broad knowledge of marine systems, and proficiency with Microsoft Office. This is a full-time permanent position with competitive compensation.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of diesel repair and maintenance experience in a boatyard, marine dealership or shop environment.
• Strong working knowledge of multiple systems (e.g., transmissions, engines, hydraulics, etc.), diagnostics, and troubleshooting diesel engines.
• Computer and software skills including Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, repair, and diagnose routine maintenance and emergency services on marine engines.
• Perform quality repairs and maintenance on inboard marine diesel engines per manufacturer procedures.
• Complete all required paperwork on work orders and inspections in a timely manner.
• Diagnose vessel failures by disassembling, repairing, and reassembling components.
• Adhere to company and industry safety standards.
