Job summary

W.W. Williams seeks a motivated Marine Diesel Technician to troubleshoot, repair and diagnose marine engines on yachts, personal and commercial vessels. You will perform repairs following manufacturer procedures, complete work orders promptly, and maintain strict safety standards.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of diesel repair and maintenance experience in a boatyard, marine dealership or shop environment.
• Strong knowledge of multiple systems (transmissions, engines, hydraulics, etc.), diagnostics, and troubleshooting diesel engines.
• Computer and software skills including Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Perform quality repairs and maintenance on inboard Marine Diesel Engines as specified in manufacturer-designed procedures.
• Accurately complete all required paperwork (e.g., repair information on work orders, information for state and emission inspections) in a timely manner.
• Diagnose failure of vessels by disassembling, repairing, and reassembling parts.
• Dedication and adherence to all Company and industry safety standards.
• Inspect vital parts to ensure they are in proper operating conditions.
