Hinckley Yachts in Maryland is seeking a Marine Diesel Mechanic to keep high-performance vessels running at their best. You’ll work with brands like Yanmar, Volvo Penta, Cummins, and Hamilton Water Jets, applying diagnostic skills and hands-on mechanical expertise.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of experience in marine mechanics or related fields.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• ABYC certification (preferred) and a valid driver's license.
• Pre-employment background check required.
• Proficiency with diagnostic software, hand and power tools.
• Experience installing marine mechanical systems.
• Knowledge of onboard plumbing systems, hydraulic system installations, troubleshooting and repairs.
• Ability to write condition reports, prepare estimates and plan projects.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.

Responsibilities

• Diagnostics: use OEM software and tools to diagnose, troubleshoot and repair.
• Repairs: perform repairs, diagnostics, preventive maintenance, adjustments and overhauls.
• Product lines: work on Hamilton water jets, Yanmar, Volvo Penta, Cummins, Caterpillar, or FPT engines.
• Safety compliance: follow safety standards and guidelines.
• Other: perform all duties as assigned.
