Fincantieri Marine Systems North America in Mayport, FL is seeking a Diesel Mechanic on 1st shift (Mon-Fri, 7:30AM–3:30PM). The role involves inspecting, troubleshooting, repairing, and installing marine diesel engines and related equipment to meet safety and quality standards.

Ideal candidates have a journeyman/technical/associate degree in diesel mechanics and at least 3 years of marine or industrial experience, with the ability to obtain DBIDS, driver’s license, passport, and ASE T2

Qualifications

Journeyman/Technical/Associate degree in diesel mechanics.
Minimum 3 years of diesel engine mechanic experience; marine ship-repair or industrial experience preferred.
Must be able to obtain and maintain, DBIDS, valid driver’s license, passport; diesel mechanic certification, and/or ASE T2 preferred.

Responsibilities

Perform maintenance, repair, and overhaul of marine diesel engines and associated fuel, cooling, lubrication, combustion, and power transmission systems.
Disassemble, inspect, measure, repair, and reassemble engines and mechanical components.
Perform engine timing, valve adjustments, injector replacement, and other mechanical repairs.
Identify wear, damage, corrosion, cracks, and deficiencies; determine repair or replacement needs.
Maintain accurate records of measurements, repairs, and completed work.
Other duties and overtime as assigned
