Fincantieri Marine Systems North America is hiring a Diesel Mechanic for the Mayport, FL location. This 1st shift role operates Monday–Friday, 7:30AM–3:30PM, with potential travel for domestic/international assignments.

The ideal candidate will troubleshoot, repair, overhaul, and install marine diesel engines and related equipment, maintaining safety and quality standards while supporting vessel maintenance programs.

Qualifications

Journeyman, technical or associate's degree in diesel mechanics or equivalent.
3 years diesel engine mechanic experience; marine ship-repair or industrial experience preferred.
Must obtain/maintain DBIDS, valid driver's license, passport; diesel mechanic certification and/or ASE T2 preferred.

Responsibilities

Perform maintenance, repair, and overhaul of marine diesel engines and associated fuel, cooling, lubrication, combustion, and power transmission systems.
Disassemble, inspect, measure, repair, and reassemble engines and mechanical components.
Perform engine timing, valve adjustments, injector replacement, and other mechanical repairs.
Identify wear, damage, corrosion, cracks, and deficiencies; determine repair or replacement needs.
Maintain accurate records of measurements, repairs, and completed work.
Other duties and overtime as assigned
