Job summary

Manson Construction Co. is seeking a crane operator to operate a crawler crane in marine construction projects. The role requires 8–12 hour shifts, a rotating schedule, and travel to multiple job sites, with extensive travel expected.

Responsibilities include crane inspections, routine maintenance, rigging and barge operations, and coordination with deck crews using hand signals. A NCCCO lattice boom Crane Operator certificate and TWIC are required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years’ experience operating lattice boom crawler cranes.
• NCCCO Crane Operator certification with LBC specialization.
• TWIC card or eligibility required.

Responsibilities

• Operates a crawler crane in support of construction activities moving forms rebar and so on.
• Operates the crane during pile driving operations.
• Assist in other essential facets of the project if crane operations are unneeded.
• Performs daily crane, rigging, barge and associated equipment inspections, completion of inspection logs and basic maintenance on crane: changing oil and filters, fueling, lubricating gears and bearings, etc.
• Maintains inventory of rigging supplies and repairs and splices cables and towing ropes
• Secures mooring lines to barges or tugs if needed.
• Participates in writing JSAs prior to performing work activity and executes work accordingly.
• Ensures compliance with Manson’s Code of Ethics and Standards of Business Conduct.
• Responsible for practicing safe work standards and promoting an Incident and Injury Free (IIF) work environment as a condition of employment
• Additional duties may be assigned
