Job summary

Kokosing is seeking an experienced Crane Operator with pile driving experience for marine construction projects. The role requires travel between Baltimore and Norfolk and a willingness to work 12-hour shifts on extended schedules.

Operates lattice boom and telescopic/hydraulic cranes, follows load charts, and performs safety procedures to ensure smooth project execution. Dredging experience is a plus but not required.

Qualifications

• NCCCO or CIC with LBC designation is required.
• 4–10 years related experience on cranes, bridges or marine projects.
• Ability to read and apply load charts and safety procedures.
• Willingness to travel between Baltimore and Norfolk and work 12‑hour shifts.

Responsibilities

• Check fluids and level crane before starting the engine.
• Level the crane and verify load performance using the load chart.
• Operate crane within load chart parameters and use standard hand signals.
• Inspect crane and hoisting equipment; report defects immediately.
• Maintain crane and hoisting mechanisms in good condition.
