The Dock Experts in Orange Park, FL is seeking a Marine Construction Superintendent to plan, coordinate, and lead a team of tradesmen for seawalls, docks, pilings, and marine fittings. You will oversee daily to project-based activities ensuring safety, quality, and on-time delivery.

Ideal candidates have bachelor’s degree in construction and 5+ years in marine construction, with strong leadership, budgeting, scheduling, and collaboration with engineering teams.

• Experience managing projects: budgeting, scheduling, resources
• Strong problem-solving and decisive action under tough conditions
• Ability to lead a team and motivate to stay on schedule
• Knowledge of engineering drawings, sketches, and blueprints
• Physical stamina for outdoor conditions and heavy lifting
• Conversational in English
• Pass a drug screen and background check

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate, and lead a team of tradesmen and contractors
• Manage end-to-end project activities: planning, demolition, construction, installation, maintenance
• Draft, constructability, permitting liaison
• Develop project schedules with the branch GM, procurement & logistics
• Provide daily written reports and communicate expectations with the team
• Ensure materials, safety equipment, SOP training, coaching, and mentorship
• Quality control oversight of work and subcontracted work
• Participate in project meetings with field engineers
• Coordinate with engineering for submittals, RFIs to subcontractors
• Identify hiring needs and participate in hiring and performance decisions

ADock Experts Marine Construction Superintendent plans, coordinates, and leads ateam of tradesman and contractors, and performs work on daily, weekly, and project-basedactivities for our marine constructionprojects. High levels of integrity, accountability, foresight, and an unshakable ability tomaintain and inspire a consistent positive, can-do attitude are necessary in upholding TDX quality and safety standards whiledisrupting and challenging the industry status quo.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

Ensurean exceptional end-to-end project experience in planning,demolition, construction,installation, service, and maintenance of seawalls, pilings, docks, boat lifts,and marine accessories.

Provideguidance and oversight in drafting, constructability, permitting requirements,and be the liaison between the permitting, drafting, and engineering teams,verifying that the quality of materials, equipment, and workmanship complieswith contract specifications and relevant codes

Developproject schedules in collaboration with the branch GM, procurement &logistics, and office personnel

Providedaily written reports on updates and communicate expectations with the team, anticipating current and futureproject needs

Ensureyour team has the necessary materials, safety equipment, supervision, standardoperating procedure (SOP) training, coaching, and mentorship to completeprojects within TDX standards

Providequality control oversight of your work team, self-performed, and subcontractedwork

Participatein project meetings, and be a liaison between field engineers and your team toensure electrical components of the project comply with drawings andspecifications

Workwith engineering staff to ensure plans, specifications, submittals and RFIs aretransmitted to subcontractors accurately and timely

Identifyhiring needs and participate in hiring, and performance decisions including dismissal as needed

Developleadership potential through appropriate task assignments and career growthopportunities

Productively,and respectfully resolve conflicts and disputes, both personal and within yourteam and other company personnel and

Maintainpositive and professional relationships with all visitors to the site:customers, architects, inspectors, subcontractors, etc.

Requirements

ESSENTIALJOB, EDUCATION, AND EXPERIENCE_REQUIREMENTS

Bachelor’s degree in Constructionand/or 5+ years in marine construction or related field

Minimum 5 years’ experience in construction,preferably marine construction

Experience managing constructionprojects including budgeting, scheduling, & resource planning

Strong problem-solving skills,ability to make sound decisions & take decisive action quickly

Experience leading a team, with theability to effectively communicate and consistently motivate to keep projectson or ahead of schedule, often in tough working conditions

Possess a working knowledge ofengineering drawings, sketches, and blueprints

Physical stamina to walk, stand,bend, and lift heavy objects (50+ lbs.) regularly

Ability to work a full shift inchallenging outdoor conditions, including extreme heat and marine environments

Ability to swim, work at heights,& in confined spaces, as required by certain projects

Ability to pass a controlledsubstance screening

Ability to pass a background check

Maintain reliable personaltransportation to commute to and from work

Conversational in English

PREFERREDEXPERIENCE & CERTIFICATIONS

OSHA 10 & OSHA 30 Certified

CPR & First Aid Certified

Class A CDL license
