POSITION SCOPE AND ORGANIZATIONAL IMPACT
ADock Experts Marine Construction Superintendent plans, coordinates, leads ateam of tradesman, coordinates with contractors, and performs construction work duties on daily, weekly, and project-basedactivities for our marine constructionprojects. High levels of integrity, accountability, foresight, and an unshakable ability tomaintain and inspire a consis tent positive, can-do attitude are necessary in upholding TDX quality and safety standards whiledisrupting and challenging the industry status quo. This role requires theability to swim, lift and carry up to 50 lbs., bend, twist, reach, and a valid driver’s license with reliable personal transportation to commute to and from work .
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Ensurean exceptional end-to-end project experience in planning,demolition, construction,installation, service, & maintenance of marine structures such as docks,decks, & piers, both through leading others, and through performing construction work tasks
Provideguidance and oversight in drafting, feasibility, permitting requirements,and be the liaison between the permitting, drafting, and engineering teams,verifying that the quality of materials, equipment, and workmanship complieswith contract specifications and relevant codes
Developproject schedules in collaboration with branchleadership
Providedaily written reports on updates & communicate expectations with the team, anticipating current and futureproject needs
Ensureyour team has the necessary materials, safety equipment, supervision, standardoperating procedure (SOP) training, coaching, & mentorship to completeprojects within TDX standards
Providequality control oversight of work, both team & self-performed
Participatein project meetings, be a liaison between fieldengineers & your team to ensure project components comply withdrawings/specifications
Workwith engineering staff to ensure plans, specifications, submittals & RFIsare transmitted to accurately and timely
Participate in hiring, & performance decisions including dismissal as needed
Developleadership potential through appropriate task assignments & career growthopportunities
Productively,and respectfully resolve conflicts and disputes, both personal and within yourteam and other company personnel
Maintainpositive and professional relationships with all visitors to the site:customers, architects, inspectors, subcontractors, etc.
Analyzejob safety and efficiency and provide proactive suggestions and solutions forimprovement
Performother duties as assigned
Bachelor’s degree in Constructionand/or 5+ years in marine construction or related field
Minimum 5 years’ experience in construction,preferably marine construction
Experience managing constructionprojects including budgeting, scheduling, & resource planning
Strong problem-solving skills,ability to make sound decisions & take decisive action quickly
Experience leading a team, with theability to effectively communicate and consistently motivate to keep projectson or ahead of schedule, often in tough working conditions
Possess a working knowledge ofengineering drawings, sketches, and blueprints
Physical stamina to walk, stand,bend, and lift heavy objects (50+ lbs.) regularly
Ability to work a full shift inchallenging outdoor conditions, including extreme heat and marine environments
Ability to swim, work at heights,& in confined spaces, as required by certain projects
Ability to pass a controlledsubstance screening
Ability to pass a background check
Maintain reliable personaltransportation to commute to and from work
Conversational in English
OSHA 10 & OSHA 30 Certified
CPR & First Aid Certified
Class A CDL license
