Ballard Marine Construction is seeking an Office Engineer to support marine and heavy civil projects from planning through execution. Youll work with project managers, superintendents, and field crews on scheduling, estimating, document control, procurement, and QA to help deliver projects safely, on time, and within budget.

The ideal candidate has a construction-related degree, 1 year of relevant experience, and strong skills in MS Office, Bluebeam, AutoCAD, HeavyBid, MS Project, and Primavera

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management, construction engineering, civil engineering or related field or equivalent
• 1 year experience in heavy civil/marine/industrial projects preferred
• Experience in field operations, project planning, estimating, scheduling, document control, procurement, or coordination preferred
• Proficiency with construction and project management software and reading drawings and specs

Responsabilités

• Develop, update, and analyze project schedules in P6
• Support contract time extensions with time-impact analyses
• Analyze drawings, specs, survey data, and contracts for pre-con work planning
• Prepare quantity takeoffs and rough cost estimates
• Prepare engineering calculations and basic drafting for pursuits and field ops
• Create and maintain project documentation and QC plans
• Coordinate procurement activities and subcontract administration
• Assist field teams with project coordination and field operations
• Travel to project sites as needed
• Support project forecasting and risk identification
