Job summary

Orion in Federal Way is seeking an experienced Estimator for marine construction to prepare estimates, takeoffs, and bid documentation. You will collaborate with project teams to ensure competitive proposals for ports, dredging, and coastal projects, coordinating supplier quotes and data for pre-bid reviews.

The ideal candidate has at least five years of marine estimating experience, a related engineering/CM degree, travel readiness, and proficiency with project tracking software.

Qualifications

• Minimum five years estimating experience in marine construction or related field.
• B.S. in Civil Engineering/Construction Management preferred.
• Ability to travel and interface with all organizational levels.

Responsibilities

• Prepare bid items and quantity surveys for cost estimates.
• Solicit quotations from vendors and subcontractors.
• Organize estimates and data for pre-bid review.
• Assist in sequencing of labor and productivity.
• Support safety and environmental compliance initiatives.
