Job summary

Malibu Boats, Inc. is seeking a Kit Builder in our Manufacturing department. The successful candidate will assemble harness components by pre-plugging wires and sub-assemblies, following drawings and work orders to ensure accurate outputs.

We value safety, organization, and attention to detail; candidates should be able to read instructions, compute basic measurements, and identify defective parts. This role reports to a Supervisor in a fast-paced factory setting.

Qualifications

• Education and/or Experience: High school diploma and/or GED; or 1–3 months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Language Skills: Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos; write simple correspondence; present information.
• Mathematical Skills: Addition/subtraction of two-digit numbers; multiplication/division with tens/hundreds; use of money and measurement units.

Responsibilities

• Prepares kits of wire and components for harness assembly according to drawings.
• Keeps work area clean and organized and prioritizes safety.
• Interprets tickets, work orders, and shop orders to ensure correct outputs.
• Identifies defective products and communicates issues from the work-cell.

Mathematical Skills: Ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's. Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance.

Reasoning Ability

• Ability to apply logical reasoning to carry out instruction furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
• Ability to solve practical problems and come up with reasonable solution.
