Job summary

Allianz Commercial is seeking a Portfolio Steering and CAT Risk Analyst for its Marine line. This role centers on global NatCat exposure management, portfolio steering, and underwriting tools.

You’ll work with Product Leaders, the CUO Technical Office, and regional teams to align strategies and reporting, leveraging catastrophe modeling and data analytics in a hybrid NYC setting. You’ll engage in building Nat Cat tools, deliver Power BI dashboards, and translate complex CAT results for Marine

Qualifications

• 5+ years’ professional insurance and/or reinsurance experience.
• 3+ years’ understanding of underwriting Marine on a global basis.
• Experience using catastrophe modeling software (RMS, AIR, EQECAT) and GIS.

Responsibilities

• Develop Nat Cat Underwriting tools and reports for Marine to enable portfolio steering and support underwriting.
• Lead IT/data initiatives; deliver Power BI dashboards for Marine underwriting and portfolio steering.
• Explain CAT modeling results to Marine Underwriters and translate portfolio impact to stakeholders.
• Collaborate with Actuarial, Risk Management, Reinsurance and other functions to improve data quality and portfolio management.
• Maintain Marine Portfolio Steering and NatCat tools and support underwriting community.
