Job summary

Allianz Commercial seeks a Portfolio Steering and CAT Risk Analyst for its Marine line. The role focuses on identifying NatCat accumulation risks, underwriting controls, and data-driven decision support across global Marine exposures.

You will build and maintain tools and dashboards (Power BI) and partner with Product Leaders and regional underwriting teams to align risk appetite with pricing and model development, in a hybrid NYC-based role.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional insurance/reinsurance experience.
• 3+ years underwriting Marine business globally.
• Experience with multiple vendor catastrophe modelling tools.
• Project management experience and cross-functional collaboration.
• Experience using catastrophe modelling software and GIS; strong Excel/VBA.

Responsibilities

• Develop Nat Cat underwriting tools and reports for Marine portfolio steering.
• Run catastrophe loss modelling reports and prepare data extracts.
• Maintain underwriting tools for risk exposure and capacity steering.
• Collaborate with Product Leaders, Technical Office and Underwriting teams.
• Communicate CAT modelling results and recommendations to underwriters.
