Job summary

Orion180 seeks a Senior CAT Risk & Portfolio Analyst to advance exposure management, CAT analytics, and underwriting portfolio strategies. You will partner with Underwriting, Product, Finance, and Technology to enhance real-time monitoring, CAT modeling, pricing support, and strategic risk decisions using advanced analytics.

You will leverage machine learning and GIS insights to drive profitable growth and strengthen catastrophe resilience while collaborating with cross-functional teams on data

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or advanced degree in an analytical field is required.
• 4+ years of experience in P&C insurance, CAT exposure or underwriting analytics.
• Hands-on CAT models experience and ability to translate findings for leadership.

Responsibilities

• Support portfolio management initiatives across pricing, underwriting, and CAT exposure using analytics.
• Analyze CAT performance, loss drivers, and risk indicators to inform pricing strategies.
• Execute CAT modeling workflows using AIR, RMS, KR, and internal tools.
• Monitor CAT book health across states, perils, and product segments for opportunities.
• Develop predictive models around profitability, exposure trends, and risk segmentation.
• Collaborate with IT/Data teams to improve data pipelines and automated insights.
• Create high-impact visualizations and dashboards for leaders and stakeholders.
• Contribute to cross-functional initiatives including reinsurance and portfolio optimization.
