Job summary

Kokosing is seeking Carpenters (Marine projects) for Hopewell, VA and Baltimore, MD. Must be willing to travel and work 12-hour shifts on extended schedules. Formwork experience is preferred and carpentry training is valued.

Construct, erect, and repair structures for heavy civil marine projects. Duties include preparing layouts, assembling forms, erecting scaffolding, reading blueprints, and lifting up to 100 pounds as part of a hands-on team.

Qualifications

• Experience in formwork and carpentry on marine or heavy civil projects.
• Ability to travel and work extended 12-hour shifts.
• Read blueprints and tape measures; operate hand/power tools.

Responsibilities

• Select lumber or materials and prepare layout.
• Measure, mark cutting lines, and shape materials to spec.
• Assemble and brace forms for concrete piers, walls and footings.
• Erect scaffolding and ladders; assist in pouring concrete.
• Read blueprints and sketch plans for material needs.
• Lift up to 100 pounds and work tied off to fall protection.
