Job summary

Sunoco LP is seeking a Person in Charge (PIC) to coordinate and oversee marine fuel transfer operations, ensuring safety, efficiency, and regulatory compliance. You will be the primary contact during fueling, liaising with vessel crews, drivers, and terminal staff while maintaining strong communication across teams.

The role requires coordinating pre-transfer preparations, conducting safety briefings, verifying documentation, and managing post-transfer activities.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• TWIC required.
• Must meet all requirements to obtain and maintain USCG PIC designation.
• Candidate must be able to perform physically demanding tasks and work outdoors.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned bunker fuel deliveries.
• Coordinate and supervise bunker fuel transfers to marine vessels.
• Coordinate and liaise with vessel crews, dock personnel, terminal representatives, and drivers to ensure safe and efficient deliveries.
• Prepare for transfers with pre-transfer checks and setup.
• Lead pre-transfer safety meetings and verify vessel information and delivery documentation.
• Monitor transfers to ensure safe, compliant operations and relay information to teams.
• Maintain continuous communication with vessel officers, dispatch, drivers, and terminal staff.
• Ensure compliance with USCG and company safety policies throughout transfers.
• Complete post-delivery paperwork and equipment inspections.
