Job summary

The City of St. Marys is seeking a Marina Supervisor to oversee the overall operation of the marina facility. The role emphasizes customer relations, dock management, and safety compliance in an outdoor maritime environment.

Responsibilities include assigning dockage, maintaining vessel records, handling finances, coordinating reservations, and supervising part-time staff. Must be able to work weekends/holidays and swim when needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 2–5 years of marina or boating operation.
• 2–5 years of supervisory experience.
• Possession of a valid state driver’s license.
• Experience in customer service.

Responsibilities

• Oversee marina operation and maintenance.
• Assign dockage and anchorage and keep records.
• Maintain dock lists and monitor vessels’ locations.
• Collect and account for revenues, inventory and registrations.
• Ensure safety procedures are followed and grounds are maintained.
• Coordinate reservations and advise on berthing and operations.
• Operate VHF radio for ship-to-shore communications.
• Supervise part-time staff and ensure quality service.
• Work weekends/holidays as needed.
