Job summary

Robinhood in Chicago, IL seeks a Middle Office Operations Margin Specialist to manage account-level risk and daily margin activities. You’ll resolve margin calls, monitor risk alerts, and help scale processes across clearing, product, and engineering teams in a hybrid office setting.

This role requires FINRA licenses, strong numerical skills, and a track record with retail margin calls. Expect on-call duties and collaboration across multiple offices to uphold regulatory and internal standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
• FINRA Series 7 and Series 63.
• Understanding of equities and option strategies.
• Demonstrated proficiency with technology and data-driven tools, with a forward-thinking approach to automation and process improvement.
• Strong analytical skills, including critical thinking and data analysis.

Responsibilities

• Review daily margin calls and execute the firm's margin sellout process.
• Recovery efforts across multiple entities to ensure accurate and timely reconciliation.
• Leverage AI-driven initiatives to improve workflows, automate routine tasks, and enhance operational accuracy.
• Serve as a subject matter expert during critical system outages or issues, participating in on-call rotation and outside business hours if needed.
• Drive testing of new products and conduct routine testing for existing processes to ensure stability and compliance.
• Research, prioritize, and resolve margin-related escalations in a timely and compliant manner.
• Mitigate firm and customer risk through intraday alert monitoring and proactive issue resolution.
• Partner with clearing, engineering, product, and international teams to drive efficiency and onboarding standards.
• Monitor and manage margin interest rates and support promotions and negotiated rates.
• Maintain SOPs and Help Center articles to ensure accuracy and clarity.
• Ensure adherence to firm procedures and industry regulations.
