Job summary

BAMSI in Taunton, MA is seeking a Residential Counselor MAP to provide rehabilitative support to adults in Group Living Environments, helping residents develop daily living skills and community integration.

Key responsibilities include teaching ADLs, implementing treatment plans, supervising medications, and advocating for residents while ensuring documentation and safety. MAP certification and a valid driver's license are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• MAP certification required with BAMSI-provided classes; certification within 3 months.

Responsibilities

• Teach ADLs (cooking, budgeting, medication management) and socialization skills.
• Implement Treatment Plans and behavioral interventions under clinician guidance.
• Administer/supervise medications per MAP guidelines and document care.
• Transport residents to appointments and community activities.
• Advocate for residents’ needs and model healthy coping strategies.
• Maintain a safe, clean home environment and complete timely documentation.
