Job summary

BAMSI, Inc. in Hanson, MA is seeking a Residential Counselor - MAP to support adults in Group Living Environments. This 30-hour per week role runs Monday–Friday 9am–3pm and offers a competitive pay range of $20.00 to $23.75 per hour, with non-exempt status.

You will implement treatment plans, teach ADLs, assist with medications, transport residents to appointments, and document care. A high school diploma or GED and a valid driver's license are required; bilingual or lived experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED; mental health experience preferred.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to assist with mobility.
• Strong communication skills (English) and basic computer proficiency.
• Compassion, patience, and a commitment to trauma-informed care.
• Bonus : Lived experience or multilingual abilities (e.g., Spanish, Portuguese).

Responsibilities

• Teach ADLs (cooking, budgeting, medication management) and socialization skills.
• Implement Treatment Plans and behavioral interventions under clinician guidance.
• Administer/supervise medications per MAP guidelines and document care.
• Transport residents to appointments and community activities.
• Advocate for residents’ needs and model healthy coping strategies.
• Maintain a safe, clean home environment and complete timely documentation.
